No, I got a new idea...best online mode ever!

A new online mode:

7 on 7 football

14 people online playing as 7 different skilled positions. Take control of 2 different positions for offense and defense.

On Offense:

QB - Chooses plays for team
RB
FB
TE
WR

On Defense:

MLB - Chooses plays for team
OLB's
CB's
FS
SS

The same way FIFA does their BAP Online Team Play, you have up to 14 people in a lobby who choose which team they want to go on (left side team or right side), and the captains of the teams choose which team they want to use. Once everyone is ready you go to, you go to the next screen and the captains do all their depth chart stuff. All the players choose what button configuration they want and the camera view. (More on the camera views later). Then when everyone is ready, the game loads and starts and you all play a 7 on 7 game (either tackle, flag, or 2 hand touch: would need animations for flag and touch though). During the game, there can be markers on the field and stuff telling you where you should be positioned and what threats are in your area. Or it doesn't have to have anything helping you. Customization. There would be a system that grades you on your performance in categories like:

Position
Skill
Stats
Awareness/Reactions
Decision Making
Sportsmanship
Cheeser or Not a Cheeser

At the end of the game you get grades like NBA 2k and FIFA and it tallies up so other people can see if you are a good player or not. Then you can have lobbies where you can only get into if you are a high enough grade. Of course there are lobbies for everyone also. Then you can have games of 7 on 7 with other people who are as good as you and that is a lot more fun.

Leaderboards:

Then you can have a leaderboard for the best players on Madden for each position and overall.

EA Sports Madden NFL 7 on 7 League:

Yes, just like NHL, you can make a great 7 on 7 League. With the technology of NCAA 10's Teambuilder, you get a team of 7 players and create your own team. From jersey design to team colored cleats to stadium field to what the stadium looks like. Full customization. Once your team is set, you have to create your players. Choose your position, create your guy, choose his equipment, and then just like FIFA you have a certain amount of points to use at the start of your career. After every game you get a little more points depending on how good you did in the categories above. When your done with the game you can add the points to your players attributes.

Match Making:

NHL 10 is improving match making. Madden 11 can do the same. The server will only allow you and your team to play other teams with the same amount of people online. If your team only has 4 people, then you will be matched up with 4 people.

Team Grade:

Each team will have their own grade. An overall grade for how good they do each game, with a win-loss record, DNF %, Games Played, Leaderboard Rank, Team Skill Level, and Average Opponent Skill Level.

Each team will also have positional grades. So if you are a RB and you suck, the game will show you that before you start a match. This allows you to scout opponents before the match to see how you should make your gameplan.

Tournaments:

Every week or every other week, EAS7on7 would have a tournament.

Like Tiger Woods 10, there would be a short tourney, like 4 teams (with same amount of players online for each team) and each team plays each other once and top 2 plays for a trophy. (Tiebreakers would need to be made).

Medium tourney, 8-12 teams, round robin style or single elimination, or double elimination. Can last the whole weekend. Trophies or gamerpoints for if you win. Or Microsoft points for teams who win.

Long tourney, 16-32 teams, round robin NFL style, single elimination, or double elimination. Can last up to two weekends. Trophies or gamerpoints. Or Microsoft points for teams who win.

Tourney Leaderboard:

Same as the EAS7on7 leaderboard just for tournament teams only.

The greatest mode to ever be in a football game. Of course, to the Madden team, if you decide to do this, it will be a lot of work. You would have to make sure there is no way to cheat to make your created player perfect right away like NHL 09. You gotta make sure teams don't do glitches to win or play the same teams over and over getting one team a lot of wins. You also would have to make sure the server is amazing. It would need the best connection for 14 people. You can also make preferences like Halo 3, where you can get games with teams with good connection, close to where you live, or stuff like that. I think this would be the greatest online feature for Madden other than Online Franchise. If Online Franchise isn't in Madden 10, both of these features would generate soooo many more sales for Madden 11. Believe me. Thanks.

Seriously, I can't wait till EA finally stops milking us and brings us these "new" features that hasn't even been hinted at but are definitely in the works.

What i mean is, it's pretty obvious why they let the Superstar mode out in the first place during last generation cycles. So everyone can invest a lot of time in a franchise type of play mode on a specific position of their choice at a time so they can finally introduce 11 vs 11 alas the FIFA series later and have everyone hyped out their minds. but no, they'd rather save that for another 2 years probably when they run out of ideas.

it should be the complete opposite thinking tho. rather than have another whole game like head coach, they should cram as much features as they can on one product. we should be playing 11 vs 11 online or ATLEAST 2 vs 2 by now. We should have a head coach mode rather than a head coach game.

YEA I think some one else thought of some thing like these but this looks like it would be fu and really cool but doesnt the wii fro madden have it?????? but i think it wouldnt make it ...

LOL well bro that is ok idea for the wii madden 10. But you have to many hardcore madden players who think 7 on 7 is a child type game. People are looking for realism and not fake football team. But bro this idea would not work for ps3/360 fans online.

Lol sorry about that, needed a title name. But yeah your right, if EA starts doing this stuff it would be amazing. Ian and Co are really starting to get me to believe they will try and get EA to let them make great games. Again, if Online Franchise isn't in now, Madden 11 needs to start out the hype next year with Online Franchise and the all new EAS7on7 League...

I think 7 on 7 could work if all 14 people were hardcore players who knew eachother. That way people would stick to their assignments and play the game the way it's supposed to be played.
Look at FIFA (idk if you've played fifa), when you get a group of guys who play the way it should be played it's so much fun. The problem is when you get 9 other guys who rush to the goal, don't pass, and don't play defense...it ruins the experience.

Good idea! I think that sounds like a lot of fun. You know what? I think it could translate over to 11 on 11, where you only have enough guys to control most skill positions, and that's it. You could have the CPU control OL and maybe DL or whatever defenders aren't chosen.
