Seriously, though, is the performance thing for linebackers and QBs still in? Can't remember what is was called, but it allowed you to view your opponents play based on your performance.

...in all seriousness, it was called the smart player weapon and it was terrible. The weapons will be off by default this year, but I'm not sure how it will factor in this year with the new adaptive AI. Hopefully it's gone alltogether.

I was just thinking of a way to make it so if someone does one play over and over, their opponent gets some sort of advantage in terms of AI.

What I think they should add in madden 11 is this:

When you choose plays (whether it be on offense or defense), then the color of the outline of each play should become a certain color. The more you use a specific play, then the outline of that play will start to become red. When a play becomes red, that means your opponent has seen it before and they will react better to your previous actions. And obviously if you're doing very well keeping your plays balanced, then the outlines of the plays won't change color; therefore, the opposing team will not have an advantage. When you first choose a play, the outline will stay white, and eventually dwell into a yellow color, then eventually orange, then finally red.

The Weapons system to my knowledge is gone altogether from Madden 2010. It was gay as hell to begin with.

this is in the game this year

it's called adaptive AI, and I believe there's a dev blog about it too.
