Re: 15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN

Man ive been testing out different quarter lengths and was wondering what length is good for getting realistic stats and scores. Ive played 15 minute and 12 minute quarters with a 15 second accelerated clock and ive gotten really inflated scores and stats. Like Kurt Warner through for over 450 yards consistently and scores surpassed 30 to 35 points easy. Is this because im not simming it and actually playing the game?? Thoughts and suggestions would be great..

I have also been using the 15 minute / 15 sec runoff with the acc clock. It is a great feature that has been added.

Dallas 42
San Diego 35

Was not happy with the final score so I may drop the quarter length down to say 12 minutes and see what happens.

I would suggest playing a few "Play Now" games to see what quarter length works best. That is the beauty of it. Everyone has different opinions on what works best for them so certainly give it a try.

Queue haters who play 5 min quarters. **This thread wasn't for you anyway**
agreed. This setup gave me a great game. 7-3 at the half and a very great, realistic game......problem was that it takes to long. it took me 40 mins to play 1 half.

I find it funny that many people view this acc clock as a new thing. I remember using it on 2003 for the PC and then 04 and 05 for the xbox.

Can't remember what the run off was but the consensus was about 12 min qtrs seemed to give the 60-62 offensive snaps per game to give you the most realistic in-game stats.

Madden 09 was the first madden that I had gotten for the 360 and when it didnt have the acc clock, i pretty much quit on the game. Glad to hear that 2010 has even more options for the acc clock with the different run off times.

But is it true that there are no in-game saves.....if so....why was that also removed???/

Sounds great! What is the final score looking like? Cause if it's good, then you damn well better believe I'm playing 15 min quarters!
