15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN

I am getting right at 123-130 plays per game for both teams combined. Almost EXACTLY at the NFL average of 126 for 08'. Games take around 80-85 mins of real time to complete. For all you realist out there, you are going to freaking love it.

Queue haters who play 5 min quarters. **This thread wasn't for you anyway**

Awesome!!! I thought I'd never see the day where Madden incorporates accelerated clock on the console. It has always only been on the PC version. It's an amazing feature because it helps run down the clock for longer games, and like you said, more realistic stats!

It doesn't seem to matter much between 15 to 20 to 25 sec acel clock. You get great stats with 15 minns and either of those acel clocks.

For sure, it all depends on how you play. If you like to read defenses longer and make a lot of pre snap adjustments, 15 secs does just fine. If you just want to snap the ball or change running direction then 25 is your spot.

You realize that you didn't need accel clock for this? Just don't pick plays or snap the ball in record time.

AAnd sit there and do nothing for 30 minutes? Yeah that sounds like great fun.

LOL, and a game would take 3 hours. Get real bro. Why even come into this thread?

What kind of stats are you getting out of the 15 and 15?

Not only that.... but the CPU would still pick the plays faster. Not only would you be bored sitting there for 30 seconds between your offensive plays, but you'd have too many total plays in the game anyway.

Would like this...but there's no way I can sit around and play for 1.5 hours...not only that, I kinda get bored with it. I sacrifice realistic stats for time.

Ah! Took the words right out of my mouth. That's the REAL benefit of the acc clock. The CPU play clock gets run down so they don't snap with 38 seconds left. By the way has anyone, in the history of Madden, EVER seen the CPU get a delay of game?

I don't think even acc clock can fix that.

I'm confused. Was your point that the accel clock is so great that it gives you a realistic number of possessions or because the game is too long to you?

I don't know about you, but I don't sit there and "do nothing" for 30mins. I watch the cutscenes which are part of the atmosphere and presentation of the game. I think long and hard about what plays I want to call, even though I know the playbook pretty much blindfolded, I still may change my mind while passing other plays, or may want to look at a few different formations to decide which set I'd like to run a particular type of play out of. Then I will look at the defense while at the line and decide what adjustments need to be made. Might hot route. Might keep an extra back or tight end in to pick up a blitz. Might motion a receiver. Might change the direction of the run. Might audible to reverse the formation or a new play entirely. Might fake snap to try and induce offsides. You know, stuff that happens in Football.

If that seems like nothing to you guys... to each his own.
