Is the Highlight Show getting fixed? Or remains as-is?

Last year's EA Highlight Shows in Madden 10 was horribly dull and clunky.

In fact, it was annoying to have to wait for your button clicks to get registered so you could just skip through it all to get back to the game - that's how bad it was.

It was obviously thrown in at the last minute without much thought or creativity.

There was no breakdown of the plays, no narration... just silent replays with the NFL-elevator music in the background. An they flashed a box-score with one or two redundant audio clips from the show "hosts".

People who were starving for the old ESPN 2K5 "Chris Berman" show were horribly disappointed.


Anyway - are they jazzing this up any for Madden 11? Or just taking it out compeltely and pretending it never existed in the ifrst place?

Somthing tells me this will be a big part of the E3 reveal.

I'm very sure with the news of Gus Johnson and all of the new pics of cut scenes this year so far. Prestation has been upgraded this year. How much more is still a mystery at this point until we get live video footage from E3 next monday.

I expect a minor upgrade, like real highlights of the three games of the week. However I liked last year's Extra Point Show, considerded as a first effort to bring presentation elements to the game.

i agree, this severely needs to be upgraded... madden 10's highlight shows were an insult to all gamers who bought the game.

Who cares ? Ian and company have bigger fish to fry.

If they revamp the highlight show, but don't add in a functional IR, as well as all of the other things that have been absent from the franchise mode for years, I doubt you'll be happy.

In my opinion, they shouldn't have worried about adding a halftime highlight show. There are a lot more important game-play fixes that are needed.

If you can button through it, it's not that important in my opinion.

I wouldn't call it a insult. I think aside from some glitches and bugs in the presentation. I thought presentation for it's first time been in madden last year looked good. What do you expect for it's first year. I know it ain't up to where 2k5 presentation is right now. But last year was a start. I'm sure it will be even better this year coming. I can't wait to see.
