madden 12 in madden 11?

If this is old please close but, I was playing madden 11 tonight and saw adds telling me to purchase madden 12 collectors edition.... I'm sorry but is it just me or does anyone else thing its wrong and even sad for ea to be promoting the new game within there old game... Just seems lame to me....

I don't have any more of a problem with it then any of the other ads in the game.

I prefer the timely and changing ads actually, no matter what they may be for, rather than the same stale stuff all the time.

I think we have a problem separating the business aspect of this game from the fun aspect. EA is a company that makes products. We buy the products we know about and NEVER buy the ones we don't know exist (duh!).

Most advertisements either preempt or interrupt what draws the audience in the same way a TV commercial interrupts a TV program. If the commercial is playing, the thing you came to see is NOT.

Yet Madden packages an advertisement that doesn't interrupt the main attraction. Why is that bad? Seriously, what's the problem?
