Season Pass vs. Online Pass

If I buy the season pass, will I need to buy the online pass later if I decide to play it on gamefly for only a few weeks?

Completely unrelated items. Yes, you will still need an online pass. New copies will contain the Online Pass code, second hand copies will not.

I'm pretty sure you won't. I'm sure the digital downloads will allow you to play online. Otherwise, its a headscratcher why it isn't.

Hold that thought....most (all?) EA Sports games allow you to have a 7 day trial for online, without a pass. That choice shows up when you try to go online in the game.

We may not have passes by that point, but I bet we'll still be able to ride out the 3 days before retail sales with that. I doubt the online passes for used games even go on sale before Tuesday.

Important edit: It's not 7 days this year, it's 2. From the Online Pass FAQ (http://www.easports.com/onlinepass):
