I dont want to control 24 teams, someone tell me a workaround for my franchise

before the preseason, change all the UDFA's to punters or a position that's stacked that doesnt have any rookies

And...that will get rid of em forever? What if I implement a draft class? What if I dont use a draft class...will there still be udfa?

I have a way, but it's time consuming. It can be done controlling only 1 team, but is easier with 2.

Pick a team that you hate or wouldn't care if they have a high amount of player turnover every year and control them as a second team. Set everything to CPU with them is fine, you'll only need them during the preseason.

Before progressing each week, make your cuts, and then trade real players to the CPU teams for fake UDFAs. Always trade 1 real player for 3 fake ones. Week one you'll need to make 2 trades per CPU team. Same for week 2. Week three is 4 trades, and back to 2 for week 4. It takes forever. I don't take away all UDFAs. As you progress through the weeks, some guys will look like they might actually make a roster in the real NFL. I leave them alone. You'll need to back out frequently to add real free agents and cut fake players. It's not perfect, but it does solve the UDFA problem without having to control all the teams. Takes probably 2 hours per pre season though.

Yes that will get rid of all the UDFA's...im not sure about the draft class thingy as im still in my first year

I believe the UDFA's are only added to fill the remaining spots in your 75 man roster, so that you are forced to make cuts in the preseason.

Yes there will. The reason is because teams don't fill the roster through free agency at the end of the offseason anymore. They fill it with UDFAs and they fill it up to 75. Most teams end up with upwards of 25-30 UDFAs EVERY season. Up to this point nothing I've said is unrealistic in how it plays out.

The nasty part is that teams cut established serviceable veterans for unknown rookies who frequently turn out to be unfathomably bad. We're talking receivers making rosters that have under 70 speed. DTs that have 41 speed and 51 strength. If they just made the FAs ratings range more like 50-65 I'd not worry about it much at all... but there are frequently players in the 30s and 40s that end up on rosters.
