What is going on???!!!!

For some reason, when I drop back to pass, the game will automatically throw the ball to my SQUARE receiver (the guy on the left) sometimes. It happens when I haven't pressed any buttons at all. I just drop back and sometimes, my QB will just throw the ball. I don't know if my controller is broken or if I'm pressing the analog stick too hard and it makes him throw the ball. It is ALWAYS the square receiver which leads me to believe it is one of those two options. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I just played a game and this nonsense made me throw like 6 incomplete passes and an interception and I don't know what's going on.

Do you have Coach Mode on?
QB will throw automatically if you don't do anything other than hike...

One of my friends use to have this same issue on Madden 10 and 11 during our offline franchise.. We could never figure out what the problem was because it only happend to him.. I haven't seen him play on 12 yet because he moved out of town but I'm sure he would have the same problem if its happening to you.. I really don't know what the problem was. We had to actually get a battery operated controller just for him because it didn't happen with a battery controller for some reason. So that is the only advise I can give you if this continues to happen..

Make sure coach mode is off. Sometimes even when you take control of the QB right away with coach mode on it will just throw a pass real quick on you. I have had this happen to me a few times. If thats not it then I agree that your controller is messed up.

@ Jarrod21, did you guys use the same controller?

I made sure Coach Mode is off. That was the first thing I checked. I know it's not that because it only throws to the SQUARE WR and no one else. I'm gonna go to practice and see if I can replicate it with the analog stick because I think that's the problem.

Yeah we did.. It only happened to him. I don't know what he was doin to cause that to happen so we plugged in one of the battery controllers I had and it didn't happen anymore.

I went to practice and messed with it and it is definitely the controller. Whenever I press hard on the left analog stick in any direction, it makes the QB throw the ball to the square WR. If I use it gently, it doesn't happen. Time for a new controller.
