For defense on All-Madden dose Play Rec or awreness matter?

so how much do you guys think this affects my players


I have big sherm with his 99 man 99 zone should I bother raising Play Rec and Awareness or dose it not really matter?

IMO, yes it does.

My best performing defenders are almost always high on PRC and AWR.

Play recognition is one of the first things I upgrade on defense. It is cheap and it makes a big difference.

Awareness = The higher this rating is for any position, the better they play.
Play Rec = Used by a defender to properly distinguish the play. Ex. Reading Draws, Play Action, and misdirection plays.

I go for Awareness then work on Play Rec.
85 Awr = Good Player
90 Awr = Great Player
95 Awr = Hall of Fame

Having a HIGH Play Rec means nothing if you have low awareness trust me.

When I raise the rush and pass D reaction sliders, guess who begins to stand out even more?
Guys with higher Play Recognition and higher Awarness!
Yes Folks! It matters!

These are the SAME guys making plays in the backfield, wrecking havoc, forcing turnovers, recovering fumbles, etc.
I have tested this w/ maybe(will have to double check to be sure) the leagues highest rated Linebacker in those 2 specific ratings.
His name is
London Baker-Fletcher(will have to double to be sure hahaa)
This guy is a MONSTER! He is usually top 10 or better tackles per year. Currently 10th in total tackles for 2012
Ranked 1st w/ 166 tot tackles for 2011.

Point being,
when I don't see this guy making plays in Madden b/c I dumbed down his Overall highest ratings by lowering reaction times(although lowering pass reaction is actually improving reaction times)
Currently I have the CPU w/ 25% higher Pass D and Run Reaction and these high awarness guys will BAIT me into INTs at times, knock out possible catches, FFs, and just stand out as they should.

Don't be surprised after spending some XP on these areas for your team, when your PRC and AWR get increased 80+, how much MORE these players will stand out on D.

I wish I knew lol. I'm starting to really focus on this for my defense over physical freaks. I like to add in consistency to the mix. Ideally I would like PRC and AWR at 85+ with consistency at level 2.

I'd take somebody with good physical skills over great physical skills if there was a decent gap in the intelligence ratings.
