Connected Careers XP disappearing??

I'm in an online league and I aquired Bryce Brown. I want to up his development to Superstar. I need 50,000 XP to do so. My last game was a monster game for him 250+ yards rushing and 3 TDs. Earned him around 25,000 XP. I thought at this rate I'll get 50k no problem. I logged on this morning to see if comissioner advanced. Sure enough he did. I checked Brown's XP and its now at 403. Where did all his XP go??? I never selected auto progress. How do I save XP?? Theres no way I can up his traits if XP disappears.

I'm not sure how it got auto progressed with the week getting advanced but, if you don't have the option to purchase a certain trait with the XP points, that means that it is already maxed out. So, it probably has been purchased. You can check each players traits under player info.

Ive never had a problem as long as I go into the progress screen, under "manual", im not sure if it sets it this way, but ive yet to have cpu take points. and I have gone through multiple scenarios including injured players with over 40,000 xp points, then guys put on IR w/ those points, yet cant replicate the cpu "using" your points for you, or "taking them away"
