I have no idea,but Madden shattered it's pre-orders from last year. Also Madden is looked at as the caviar of football gaming. Everyone including the NFL players themselves play Madden. This year they're going to shatter they're previous sales. That's a guarantee.

Whatever. The point was that you missed his intent. If I had to guess I would say he started this thread as a vehicle for people to guess at total Madden sales. The ESPN figure, real or fictitious, was just a method/point-of-referance for introducing the discussion.
