Final defensive gauntlet challenge

What is the trick to completing the final defensive gauntlet challenge. I have been at it about 2 hours and so far only managed to force one fumble which of course the computer recovered. I'm using R1 to strip the ball every chance I get.

Any tips or suggestions or is it just pure luck?

Finally defeated it. Took a break for a bit and then went back to it and after 10-15 minutes got a fumble recovery. I did force one more and the cpu recovered it but fortunately a few tries later I got it. Still curious if anybody has any tips, tho. Good luck to the rest of you!

I'm stuck on this one now. trying to strip the ball hasn't been working for me

I just powered through it too. Had one fumble caused but didn't recover it on about the 10th try. Took me about 30 tries to complete.

I was trying to blitz for a sack/fumble but ended up getting it on a fumble by Murray.

I got super lucky on my 2nd or 3rd try I believe, & stripped the QB while he was about to pass.

Though I've heard you can try & botch a punt return and pick it back up. Also, you can try & showboat and hope to fumble then hope to get it back.

It took me 4 hours straight..... I lost every way imaginable.... One of the times I was winning with 16 seconds left the Panthers were on their own 4 yard line and Cam scored on a 96 yard run where he broke at least 5 solid tackles
