Nice. I wonder what AI batting pitch influence does? I'm assumign it affects if batters can hit certain types of pitches?

In the CPU batting settings, I wonder what would "AI Pitcher Handedness Influence" do?

I wonder if it takes into account how effective the pitch was thrown. This may be the reason why people are having success getting hitters to swing and miss at perfectly gestrured/executed pitches. A maxed out pitch may be automatically harder to hit than one that is not based on the slider...at least that is my guess...not sure how I feel about that, though. A crappy pitchers best pitch is often still crappy and hittable.

I beleive when they put out the ratings, every hitter had a Vs. Right and Vs. Left ratings for some of the hitting abilities (power/contact,etc.). Because of that, I would assume this slider can be used to impact that influence. You may be able to make left handed pitchers more effective against left handed hitters.

That makes sense, thanks

well they hae handedness influence and pitch influence so i tend to think it just is the effect it has on a batter that hits lefties well vs rights. if you turn down the slider it will reduce that effect. I tend to think pitch influence is if a guy hits fastball really well and curveballs really poorly turning the slider down will reduce that effect. that's what i get by looking at the sliders.

I think you've got it. Sounds like we can adjust how much advantage is given to a L/R or R/L matchup or the disadvantage for L/L or R/R.

I see no option to adjust the AI batting tendencies. Regardless of how much they swing or don't swing, I don't like not being able to adjust it...
