    Consensus: Best Batting View?

    hi all.

In an effort to get a better eye and not swing at EVERYTHING, one of the things i looked into was BATTING VIEW.

Pitcher view is a no-go as I use that for pitching and i want to see the stadium outfield.

I normally use WIDE because it gives the most panoramic view of the outfield, you can see more.
Catcher gives you a nice closer look at things, but i looked in options and decided to try OFFSET.

This gives a slight tilt to the left or right and changes up the view a bit for variety.
But the important part is if it makes it easier to hit.
Did a few innings and it seems to be Ok.
A bit better but i might need a bigger sample size, i.e. lefty vs, lefty battles and the like.

Which do you guys use and why?
Your answers are for a fun read, but more importantly, will help me see things a way i might not have seen.

    any input is cool
    thanks guys!

I use wide. Something about it is more appealing than catcher, and slightly more appealing than offset. I used offset for a while, but decided to try wide, and haven't gone back.

I've always used catcher ever since I've been playing the MLB series which has been for years. Not sure if its the best, its just that if I were to try anything else it would throw my game off.

I've heard wide is highly recommended though.

Have used Offset view to hit since MLB 08 and don't see myself going back. I find it easy to read the pitches, and I like the look of the game with this view.

        For pitching I use Outfield.

sup, u find it easier to read the pitches?
have u had problems reading inside ptiches with with a lefty at the plate?

I thought i had a for sure ball four on a pitch that looked well inside, got rung up looking, then checked the pitch history and lo and behold, it was right on the line.

I have always and probably will always use catcher view. I have tried others but didnt really like them. Something about the straight on view that I like the best I guess.

Actually, I plated 5 games last nite and it seems that this year the low pitches are hard for me to read. They look in the zone and than boom, they are lower than my knees. Practice I guess!!!

Offset always bugged me with any game because I feel like I can't "see" the corners very well...

thats what i was thinking, that the corners might not be as easily figured out.

for those who DO use OFFSET, whats the selling point for you?

Maybe I just got used to it, but I don't have an issue reading inside pitches.

I mean, I chase my fair share of junk, but I don't think I'm in the minority there...I chase on any view...but I do walk a decent amount of times, 4 in my last game on default HOF

Not sure but it seems that I can see the breaking stuff a lot better. My timing seems a lot better on offset. Been playing with them all after changing from outfield view.

                        did some testing tonight.
i can surely read breaking balls better in this view, but its STILL a beyotch reading inside pitches.

I actually use the outfield view to hit. For me, it's easier to pick out where the ball is going more quickly, thus I can decipher balls and strikes a bit better. Plus, it's just damned nice to look at.

I've experimented with every view and Catcher feels the best for me.
