for those who DO use OFFSET, whats the selling point for you?
OFFSET works for me. I can read the pitches better and can actually draw walks. With catche or Wide, some pitches are to hard for me to pick up til its WAY too late.

With OFFSET, i can read inside/outside piches better as well as Low/High. Alot has to do with preference.

      interesting SA1NT.
i thought the offset would make it harder to read inside/outsiders.

Did u have a learning curve reading pitches due to the fact that you had to learn two angles. for left and right handed batters?

      thanks

The catcher will set up in different places in batting practice if you use the outfield or pitcher cameras.

If you are in a game and it is CPU vs CPU, the catcher will also set up inside, outside, low or in the center.

However, if you are in a game playing against the CPU, the catcher will always set up in the middle of the plate as to not give away the general location of the pitch. There reallly isn't any advantage gained here.

            ok
            doing a little research now.

trying out OFFSET a bit more.

            some thoughts:

the lefty/lefty, and to a lesser extent the righty/righty matchups are really challenging, as they should be.
that view REALLY makes it tough to read and follow those big sliders and the like when u have a tough lefty up there vs, say, a guy like Granderson.
            Its tough, but fun.

            more thoughts forthcoming

                couple more notes on 'offset'.

its MUCH easier to pick up outside pitches for righty pitcher vs. lefty batter AB's as well as lefty pitcher vs. righty batter.

so in that regard it works better than wide or catcher.

i rarely if at all swing at pitches that are outside during those matchups.

the inside pitches are still killer and i think are more difficult here than anywhere.

Yep, it is a bit harder to judge inside pitches but the outside pitches are a breeze to lay off of.

Plus I love how lefty/lefty and righty/righty are more difficult, as it should be.

This....Can actally read curves and sliders on offset where I couldn't with Catcher view. I can also read ball speed as well. I'm actually hitting alot down the lines now where before I rarely hit anything early. Also like the difference in lefty/lefty matchups as well like others have said.... Now If I could just take care of my horrible pitching...

                        interesting
i went back to WIDE late in that game and saw the ball better.
maybe the OFFSET helped me judge the one si had problem with, then i got my eye back in straight in pitches?

                        hmm

do you find it too easy?
being able to see where the catcher lines up?
