Will Mets New Alternate Jersey Make It In MLB 12?

The Mets wore the jersey above twice in 2011 and will wear it more frequently in 2012 according to an official team press release.

I'm not sure what qualifies for the MLB Style Guide. Anyone know if this will make it in?

It's my new favorite jersey and I would LOVE to be able to wear it in The Show.

Those Mets updates have long been needed. Right now, they have just about the perfect set.

I think with a lot of teams changing, you'll see more correct uniforms, but then again it all depends upon what the Mets have told MLB what they are going to do. If they've updated it and MLB approves, it will be in the Show.

Looking back, I think I misspoke about "MLB approval." If the Mets have already debuted their new jerseys, then they have the stamp of approval from the Office of the Commissioner. It's updating the style guide that matters the most.

There have been plenty of teams that have updated their looks, and for many of them, updating the guide allows them to sell new product. I'm fairly sure that the Mets have done the work on their part, and I expect to see these beautiful sans-black jerseys in the game next year.

These Unis are beautiful. I even liked them when they had the "Los" on the front. Now I can't wait to see them without that.

Unfortunately those unis are not in the style guide, therefore they won't be in MLB 12. I double checked with the artist today.

If they wear these later in the season when it is their official alternate jersey, could they be added to the game with a patch?
