How will I know if there is lag? I went left and right and it would to to each screen. If the stuff doesn't load as quickly or what?

It would be milliseconds apart, but yes.

If you still have a tube lying around, hook up your PS3 to that for a moment and convince yourself that its response time is no different than your LCD.

Anybody have settings for a philips 32pfl3506/f7?

I thought it was my old HDMI cables went out got new cables that didn't change anything

Where's your controller, mate?

Input lag is the difference between the time of your controller press to the time that response is displayed on your television. The reason input lag is bad in a baseball game is that you might see a pitch and view it as being a perfect time to swing, but really all of the video input is coming at a slight delay, so the pitch has already actually buried you more than you see it, so you'll be late on your swing, etc.

Dook, here's an example of someone's tube (left) versus their LCD (right). No controller needed in this case because their tube is just about instant response:
