the main problem i am having is timing the stride. every vid i seen says to start the stride when the pitcher releases the ball. ive read the forums and the stride timing is based on the batter.

so which is it? does it depend on what batter is at the plate? some players have longer strides so for those players should i start before the pitcher releases?

does the pitch matter? for example if its a change up would it be better to wait a little longer to start the stride? thanks

In short: The stride timing is based off of pitcher release and pitch type. Batter stance does not matter.

You can see the stride timing info on the swing analysis screen after every pitch, to see how you are doing.

If you find striding a bit confusing and harder at first, you may want to adjust the Stride Timing slider to make it count less in the hitting outcomes.
