So my samsung is dying. What tv's are you guys using

I ask this because my 67 inch samsung is a dlp that's about 7 years old. The reason I really like this tv is for the show only. There is no lag whatsoever. Fixing it may cost more than its worth. I have a 3 yr old sony LCD and after hooking it up to that the lag was terrible. So now I'm scared I'm going to buy a tv that kills the only game I play. What television sets are you guys using and which ones have the least amount of lag. This tv will be used for watching sports and tv as well.

I have three Samsung sets and a Panasonic set, and I can only recommend two of them for gaming:

1) Samsung PN-59D7000 (59" plasma)
2) Samsung PN-60F8500 (60" plasma)
3) Panasonic TH-50PX60U (50" plasma)
4) Samsung LN-T2353H (23" LCD)

I can only recommend #1 and #3 as far as gaming goes. #2 and #4 have pretty bad input lag despite being good television sets (#2 is a ****ing beast for a set). #3 is also an older set anyway, one of the earlier plasmas out there, so I can't in all good consciousness recommend that either.

That just leaves #1 for me as far as what I own. Oh, and do yourself a favor and pick up a DarbeeVision Darblet while you're at it.

EDIT: And can't you get the light replaced in the DLP? You might not have to get a new set, really.

I think it's the dmb board. It's shutting of while I'm watching and every time I turn it on the screen is green or purple. I have to unplug then plug it back in. I have a 40 inch led samsung in my bedroom that I just tried and with game mode it was surprisingly good. It's the 6030 model. They have a 65 inch 6 series at best buy that I've been eyeing for some time. I guess I may head to best buy next weekend or I may try and wait it out till I see a sale on it. It's at 1399.99. Weird thing is after hooking it up in the 40 inch led in my bedroom the announcers were missing. All the other sound was fine just no announcers. Any thoughts

If price isn't an issue then check out the Sony W series, they have by far the lowest amount of input lag out of any TV on the market. Check out this website, it has the lag time for almost every TV and monitor released over the last couple years.

I just recently purchased a 40" Samsung that's listed as having 27ms of input lag and its not noticeable at all, to me at least (seriously though, anything under 40ms is considered pretty good, but of course the lower the better)

I'm currently using the Panasonic TC-P55ST60 plasma and I love it for playing The Show.

Using this same TV but the 50". Absolutely love it for gaming in general. The Show looks beautiful on it.
