Promotins and Demotions in Franchise?

Will we see computer controlled teams promoting and demoting players based on performance and not only injuries?

Not sure we needed a thread on this, but excellent question. I'd imagine the (what I'd assume to be) forthcoming Franchise Blog will tackle this if it did indeed get in.

This is also on the top of my list! I have no doubt the guys at SCEA can eventually get this in. Will be tricky to do I'd imagine though. For instance, would we see superstars getting demoted because they are in a slump and maybe the AI demotes them too soon without giving them a chance to get out of it?

Great point. It can be very tricky. To this date, only ASB 2005 has gotten it right. Mid to low level players would get demoted for extremely poor play (often last for weeks). However, on occasion I had seen guys like Paul Konerko or Lance Berkman get demoted. It would be difficult to get a reasonable balance. For the most part, I just do them myself.

Also what about rehab games for guys coming back from injuries. Allow them to play in 3 or 4 games in the minors when they are coming off the DL just like they do IRL. Promoting players, demoting players, rehab games, they all would be nice for franchise mode.
