Turn Back the Clock: 1975

1975

-Watergate
-Led Zeppelin fans riot in Boston
-Wheel of Fortune and the Jeffersons debut
-Rocky Horror debuts....and closes
-Nolan Ryan no hits the Orioles(#4 in his career)
-Flyers win the Stanley Cup
-Knight's 10th birthday
-Herb Washington of the A's is released after 104 games without hitting or playing the field!
-Microsoft founded
-Billy Williams hits his 400th HR
-JAWS!!!(holy crap that movie scared me!)
-Tom Seaver of the Mets is first to K 200 in his first 8 seasons
-Steve Garvey begins his NL record consecutive games streak
-The Red Sox

The Postseason version is in the Vault for your consideration.
All suggestions are welcome!
It is a W.I.P. in two ways...I will still fine tune some things if necessary and it is of course just the precursor to the complete 1975 set.
-All players who played at least one game in the M.L.B. are in the set
-All info-ratings-equip
-All faces are edited
-Lineups/rotations are set by most used

It's set up for season play....25 man rosters are set and you can begin play without changes.

Hope you all enjoy!

M.K.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1975

Thanks don.....
Hope you like it.

I have a couple of fixes already for the final version(the complete set)
So far....none effecting gameplay really.
-I have to revisit some FB speeds.....I had Seaver just throw 98 in my W.C. game vs. the Dodgers. I'm fairly certain he topped out at 95-96. I'll check on that.
-Chris Chambliss needs a new stance. His was a closed stance. I don't know how I gave him an open one....
-The A's......I thought their team Color1 was green...it was gold....so there might be some equip fixes. Also.....what to do with cleats....all white? They wore white Adidas with the three stripes green that year.

Just some notes for guys....
-Dave Kingman didn't wear the handlebar until '76....he looks better with it...but I went for authenticity.
-Guidry didn't wear his 'stache until '77(maybe '76 some time as well)

But having them with them wouldn't be the worst either....open for discussion for sure(as is EVERYTHING)

If you guys see something...please let me know.

M.K.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1975

Playing 1st game Seaver vs Carlton ....... what a matchup !

Only thing I noticed so far is George Foster I think was using his "Black Beauty" bat at that time from what I remember at least !

Phillies up 2-Zip in 5th ..... Seaver struggling a bit while Carlton is in total control ...... gotta get back to my seat to see how this one winds up. Poor Winner has only to look forward to meeting that team they call the Big Red Machine !

Yep, Seaver at 98 Carlton at 94 .........

Thanks Knight,
Don

Bobby Bonds NYY Bats Right

Mets win in 10 over Phillies 4-3

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1975

I am confused by what "Post Season" version means. Does it mean that the only teams that are done are the Red Sox, A's, Reds, and Pirates? But then I see Don's posting about using Mets and Yankees...

Top 5 Teams in each league make up his Postseason Mode Ready release:

AL: OAK; BOS; KCR; BAL; NYY

NL: CIN; PIT; LAD; PHL; NYM

Yes.....you can choose 10 teams in the Postseason Mode of the Show, so I chose the teams with the top 5 records in each league to fill that out.
It's just something for you guys to dabble with until the final release.

don;

Thank you....perfect(pointing out fixes)
I noticed Unser last night when playing the Dodgers in the Postseason.
I'll give Foster the black bat.....he definitely might have used that in '75.

For those wondering on how to set up the postseason.

When you enter the mode.....if the team you want is in the right slot(the W.C. game for the Mets-Phils or Dodgers......the bye for Cincy ...etc) hit X on that team.....if not...hit square and it will randomize the teams(even AFTER you hit X on a team to "lock" them) and you keep hitting X on teams until you get the setup you want.

After that...enjoy!
