People getting excited about Diamond Dynasty every year are an absolute embarrassment to baseball video games. Like there is no appeal. Even the Moments feature is lame, considering they dont ever use rosters approrpiate for the time period. They literally just throw a legend into a modern day environment and call it a "moment"

Its extremely lame. Twitter is nothing but people freaking out about what they pulled, as if the player card and not the user is why they suck or dont suck online. Recreating historic rosters, stadiums, seasons and environments on next gen graphics could literally be a free feature, they could literally sell the game for $90 every year, and I would buy it.

THEY don't even have to do the work.

Give US the ability to do it. And we WILL. Look at the Madden Mods! Jerseys, stadium skins, field skins, coaches, portraits, stats, rosters. Modders even managed to edit game code.

That is what this game needs.

Its dead to me without it, beacuse, just like Madden, we're trapped in this endless cycle of what COULD have been.

Thanks community for all the updates. Yes, a lot of great work once again into the classics from sooo many talented folks has been done (and hopefully not forgotten).



Many good points on THIS thread. Hopefully someone is paying attention.


There is a classic market out there. Baseball is filled with tradition, a great history, so many players (characters) throughout its history came to play again on our screen that SDS started and the community added to it. Kind of reminds me of the 'Field of Dreams' saying "If you build it he (can say 'THEY') will come".


So much more COULD be done: keep stadium creator, bring y2y roster import ability back, bring player vault back, add some old equipment choices (gloves, bats, etc.), and the magic will happen again.



Maybe, just maybe, somewhere down the line - THEY will come back on a new stage and the 'Dream' will continue...

i don't play DD. but i think it's pretty arrogant, selfish and dumb to say "People getting excited about Diamond Dynasty every year are an absolute embarrassment to baseball video games". I get it, we all dont like the focus the have on DD compared to franchise. but i think the only embarrassment is to tell people how they have to play their video games and how they want to fun is dumb and "there is no appeal". Well, obviously there is.

They will never let us do all the work because they have to make sure we buy the game every single year

And the DD people are just like fortnite or the comic book super hero fatigue or Star Wars fans that pure “mainstream” thing it’s industry saturation. Where that’s where the average person thinks only matters where the $$$ are at

Btw they announced full minors roster will drop in 2-3 weeks so your doomsday prophecy didnt hold true.
