Pure Analog hitting

Do you have to specify power vs. contact like you do with timing hitting - if so how? Or is it just as simple as flicking backward and forward? Thanks for your help, coming over from xbox.

Re: Pure Analog hitting

You have to do it before the pitch.

Square = power
O = contact
Doing nothing = regular swing

Re: Pure Analog hitting

You're welcome.

Oh, and you should feel a slight rumble in the controller to let you know it's engaged.

For real? I thought the square and circle for power and contact was removed on analog controls. I don't recall seeing the option on the screen when batting. Either way I'm hitting tons of homeruns using analog controls on veteran without selecting power or contact

Re: Pure Analog hitting

Yes, it's true. Load the game, turn off the controller, and then turn it back on. You will then feel the rumble confirmations when you press square or circle prior to the wind up.

Re: Pure Analog hitting

Yeah I didn't have the rumbles either until I just restarted my controller - do you have to do this each time you play the game or is it calibrated now?
