Rooftop owners have filed injunctions to block them, it likely will go before an arbitration panel at which point most legal experts expect them to rule in the Cubs favor anyway (for multiple reasons). But in the meantime, said jumbotrons/video scoreboards are potentially in limbo due to pending legal action.

That's the status being reported on the media outlets here in Chicagoland, anyway. (including NBC/Comcast SportsNet which obtained a copy of the actual contract signed in January 2004).

But yeah, as it relates to MLB The Show, I'm guessing they were asked to remove them due to the pending legal stuff. Disappointing, but nothing they can do about it.
