I think they got the cued steal down, it is the quick steal that is in question.

I've always pre-loaded my steals. Never really got the hang of quick stealing.

I used it when they first introduced it but now I just cue steals.

So I played around with the manual/quick steal and it is a little funky. To me, it appears if you try to do it with the lead runner everyone behind him will go too. I then tried the manual steal with the trailing runner and it works. So for example I had first and second and I did the manual steal with the runner at first and he was the only one who took off and the runner at second stayed. I would say it warrants a bug report.

Could you detail the exact steps that you're doing? What is the exact of buttons you're pressing? What's the situation, 1st and 3rd? Are you holding/vibrating/releasing L2 or are you simply tapping L2 once (don't hold L2, and also not multiple taps L2, just one quick tap of L2)

Also did you manage to watch the following video. Best to watch the entire video, but if you're specifically looking for stealing, jump to the @3:00 mark - 5:00. This time stamp goes further into detail on stealing (1st/3rd situations.)
