Mlb franchise data transferring

Just curios how this works let's say I start a franchise now in the show 16 when I transfer the data to 17 the show would the generated Rookies from the show 16 get replaced with the official Rookies in the show 17 like the face scans that actually look like them ?. Also players who currently are not in you're franchise now how would you go about adding them to you're franchise in the show 17 when you transfer you're data. I'm asking because I'm going to start a franchise and want to know if it's worth it or if I should just wait for the show 17 to release.

None of the players in you Franchise will be replaced. It just simply continues in where you leave off in 16. If you set your league up so that you can control CPU rosters then you can export and import players. But then trades and injuries are turned off.

Ah ok is this the best option being able to control CPU roster and are trades always going to be off or can you change it.

In that mode, trade and injuries are off and cannot be turned on once you start. That is more for if you want to mirror real life trades/injuries.

Player like Big Papi and Jose Fernandez will be replaced with generic players, right?
Also, I dont think you can import into a franchise, only export out of, someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

I know that any players who didn't play last year will be replaced with generic players. Not sure about those who retire. But I would think so.
