Pinpoint Pitching - Issue after Patch

I know they tweaked Pinpoint Pitching on Legend difficulty in the last 1 or 2 patches, but has anyone had issues with it not completing the motion now? When I go to bring it back for release, it's not completing the movement down probably 70% of the time. It's really f-ing aggravating!

I've tried different batteries/battery pack, etc. no solution (Xbox Series X)

Bump - trying to figure this out still, it's made the game pretty annoying. It's not so much the motion but the follow through bringing the analog stick back down that's the problem. It seems like I can bring it down one time and it completes the motion, the next it stops halfway.

I've changed from a battery pack to batteries in my controller, tried pitching Pure Analog (no issues), so........did they make pinpoint pitching harder or tweak it to make the follow through inconsistent?
