Opening Day Roster Update?

Like countless others, I’m a huge Franchise Mode player. I have the game and I’m anxious to start my Franchise, but at the same time I want to wait until the opening day roster update, as I’m one of those rare The Show players that try and stick with the real-life rosters throughout the season.

Any idea when they released the rosters previous years?

Ya it’s usually a couple weeks after the season starts, it would be quicker to make your own roster accurate to what happens or as I’m doing already what is projected to happen as far as lineups and rotations

I'm in the same boat. Want the opening day rosters prior to starting a franchise. Made further complicated this year by Vlad Jr being delayed by 15 days.

Is it safe to assume he isn't available in the Jays minor league roster to call up when the game launches? So I'll probably need to wait a few weeks before I can play franchise?

If so, I guess I'll just use that time for RTTS.

He is not in the game at the moment.

I am a huge Franchise guy as well, but I can't wait two weeks to get the best roster. I am going to start today with my Reds Franchise and just chalk it up to MLB The Show 19 being an alternate universe.

Quite possibly not helpful, but there's usually a reasonably good opening day roster with the top 100 or so prospects in the vault. I haven't opened 2019 yet, but in the past, there's usually an ok one available until the big boy launches in a month or so.

I haven't found a roster in the vault yet that has Lucas Duda on the Royals. It's an easy fix to switch him myself but I was just surprised that every roster still has him on Minnesota. He is on the Royals now right? lol
