I just looked up the name Kyle Blake. He’s one of the developers for The Show (Twitter is @KB_TP0).

So it’s very possible Blake is indeed the created RTTS player.

Caulfield's find was the "wham" scene that made me really believe this is actually a thing. You could still write off a name in a scorebug as some kind of strange oversight, but the Jimenez guy has his name AND likeness on that scoreboard (though I highly doubt it's a face scan or anything like that). That's too many "accidents" for me to just brush aside, even as cynical as I can be sometimes.

I still don't know how they'd go about getting the rights to even SOME of the minor league players, but I'm sure we'll hear about it in the coming days if we're not just chasing ghosts.

I dont like being one to tease then take it back, but just to temper expectations till the Studio confirms, the Giants picked up Dany Jimenez last month in the Rule5 draft from Toronto so San Fran had to put him on their 40-man to keep him. I suppose his paperwork could have went through really fast but I doubt thats the case. the Orioles in December 2018 picked up Richie Martin in that years Rule5 draft but he didnt make the default roster, he was added in the first update. I'm inclined to lean the ‘‘full rosters’’ will be real MiLB'ers and doesn't necessarily mean expanded organisation rosters from 90 man to 200+.

That would be rather massive, considering OOTP has full minors in the game and the new agreement with MLB, I definitely see this as full MILB integration.

I’ve always been skeptical of how it’d work, but since OOTP was able to do it, it’s plenty plausible that SDS should be able to the same way.

I think the reason we haven’t seen them yet was 2 fold. 1, was the resources it would take to secure the deal didn’t seem to be a priority to SDS. And 2, the resources and time it would take to create and maintain the rosters would be something they’d have to be willing to do.

That said, with the growing emphasis on prospects and their relevance in the baseball world, coupled with the minor leagues currently battling for higher wages and trying to avoid contraction, it would be prudent of them to hammer out a deal to gain some financial resources and to position themselves a bit better and more visibly.

I'm weird in that I always like to play with default rosters. I was planning to skip 20, but if real minor leaguers are in there, that's going to change my plan.

They had the Cubs scoreboards in originally, but were forced to remove it due to legal issues I believe.

I hope the Dodgers renovations make it in. They've had time to put them in, plus it being the All Star Game location this year one would think it's got to make it in. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Went back and looked at the trailer again. It is still the old version with no renovations. Hoping it's just not updated yet and this is older footage.

So if this is the case of a full minor league system that includes Low and High A rosters, where does this put people like me who's going to import my franchise from 19 into 20? I'm in the year 2021 with the White Sox and I lost in the 7th game of the ALCS in the previous year. I'm on the verge of playing for a World Series and not looking to start over.

You'd be carrying over your franchise which includes the rosters. Nothing would change in your franchise.
