What if no baseball this year...

So, if the baseball season is canceled what then of “The Show” in 21.
How would players be looked at, stats from previous season ?
Better yet, what if MLB had a shortened season say 50 games this year?
Would “The Show” finally have a option for less than 162 games? ( heck of a way to get that Option back in the game)
Any thoughts....?

I don't think that real life will effect what will happen in next year's version of the game. It will happen, and will assume that MLB will be as usual. If anything, people will want to play the game as a substitute. I've played over 100 games in my season already. No reason not to.

I have no desire to play a short season, so I can't speak to the rest.

Re: What if no baseball this year...

If we get season length option put back in for 21, I believe that will be more due to the PS5 and not Corona. which is to say I think its possible PS5 Show 21 will have season length option next year but not the PS4 Show 21. possible, even though not probable, for even PS5 Show 21.

I'd like to see them leave ratings alone for 21, and use that manpower to beef up other areas of Show 21.

I am following the exact schedule for the Yankees and I do not miss real baseball one bit because of this game. I do hope they play this year. If not, this would be the third year (1904, 1994 and 2020) without a World Series

The closer we get to July with no real baseball, the more I feel that it won't happen. The apparent 48-game idea being floated this week isn't worth it, IMO. Better to just call it a wash and hope that things are better in February.

Sorry, I can't resist this: If anybody wants to play with empty stadiums, just start a Reds franchise. I did this last year and even when they were in first place attendance was pretty sparse.

LOL. I don't play games at Great American in my Cubs franchise. I just don't like the stadium and don't feel that I see the ball well, so I play all of my away games vs the Reds in Cleveland, which is one of my very favorite parks to hit in.

I've said this before but I would like to see length options of 54 and 108 besides 162.
