Does anyone know where we can find retired players, besides the legends in the game. I know Prestons' Rosters, but I'm looking for players who were good but maybe not HOFers. Players like Keith Hernandez, Mickey Tettleton or Jim Rice. I'd like to create an all-time greatest players league using their career averages instead on ratings based on one season.

what you could do is go to either www.baseball-reference.com or www.spots-wired.com and look at the players average stats.
