Playing in a slump

So I've been in a major slump lately where all of a sudden nothing seems to work. Last weekend I went 9-3 in Pink Diamond league (lost the game to go) after going undefeated in Diamond league. A week later I find myself back in Ruby league and only winning ~40% of my games. I feel like my go-to plays aren't as effective anymore, guys aren't making shots, CPU defenders don't seem to play to my defensive settings, I rarely can hit green releases anymore, and I'm routinely giving up 60+ FG%. I lose to teams with all diamonds and teams with mostly sapphires, doesn't really matter.

Any tips for getting out of a slump? Any new playbooks to try instead (I think I've heard Mavs mentioned on here)? Anything go-to skill/move that I should just start trying to work on against the CPU? Anybody else experience this? I'm looking to find a way to turn it around this weekend.

When setting up the defensive setting on individual matches, make sure you have the off ball settings on auto, auto will make the computer play to whatever emphasis you have such as stay home, switch everything and things of that nature.

Slap on some shoes, practice some shots, expose mismatches, definitely work the post, practice defending and alternating between on ball and off ball. Go off to control other players getting hit by off ball screens, go on ball when somebody is in the post or paint to prevent fouls as often, use right stick to contest, pull back left stick and press y to vertically contest shots and lessen fouls, put on conservative defense to help prevent fouls also.

Try out hawks, nets playbook. Hawks is generally good, nets have great quick plays that develop very quickly and can be helpful to save time on the clock since plays take insanely long to set up. I try to regroup and run and gun first quarter, plays 2nd quarter, see what your opponent can't deal with. I extend pressure on guards see if it bothers your opponent, use different defensive sets half court press, man, zone see what they can't deal with or what they aren't use to.

Re: Playing in a slump

take a break and play some blacktop or some challanges, switch up your line up, frustration probably has a lot to do with it

All those things you've described sound like classic equalizer to me. Are your opponents' teams generally lower overall than yours?

Nope, sometimes higher, sometimes lower, sometimes about the same. I think it's more me. I just finished my seed and am taking a MTO break for a bit. Maybe I'll jump back in a week to get some easy wins against Christmas noobs.
