Just a simple question about MTO

Why is it that you have to play with a team, with low level cards to have a competitive game this year period.... It does not matter what tier you are in.

I don't see how diamond Kevin Mchale is being ****ted on by emerald Cousins, Manute Bol on a regular basics on defense or offence.

I have to use the rewards James Edward over "DIAMOND" Ben Wallace, Kevin McHale , John Lucas and Elvin Hayes. Just to grab a rebound or have a presence down low on offence or defense.

It get's worst at the other positions. Also why don't u see any moving screens being called this year at all. In 2k16 you would get a call from time to time.

Agree with your point. As far as the moving screen call, I have only seen it happen against USA Ewing, who has that HOF brick wall. I guess the pick / screen has to be very strong to trigger he call.

these superstar vs all-star matchups just add to the frustration... having a lot more fun with Career/Park/Pro-Am the games feel somewhat scripted there but it seems more skill based

I thought you were guaranteed to play someone in your difficulty this year because I get the same multiplier that is according to my league every game.

2k16 for sure matched u up against lower difficulty opponents, but didn't know 2k17 did. I guess that's why I find myself mystified when I lose to a scrub and then find out he was in a bunch of other close games based off his 2k17 clip captures.

Well the multiplier you see will only indicate difficulty at which you are playing, not your opponent. You might have a 1.5 multiplier as per your Superstar difficulty, but possibly you're playing someone who gets a 1.25 because they're on All-Star.

A lot of the times I thought I was getting "equalized" against I was really just playing on a higher difficulty

I think that's a strong possibility. Would certainly explain opponents being able to hit what seems to be improbably high rates of contested threes or the like.

What I wonder is how asymmetrical Game Difficulty affects something like Rebounding. Does Player B have an advantage in rebounding over Player A because B has lower difficulty than A?

Pretty sure it's just the sliders are set higher for one team than the other, as is the case with player vs. CPU in the offline modes that scale with difficulty.

So it would affect every part of the game that can be governed by sliders.
