Player force fields, slow passing and lack of CPU logic ruin this game

Nba 2k14 is BAD, no sliders can fix this game

The force field between players ruin this game plus the logic of defenders. Whenever you have too many bodies in one area, passing/movement goes ape****

Switching/staying with a player's assignment is so horrible this game, cpu sets simple screens and your team mates are confused as f as if they it was a well designed play they didnt see coming. Thats why a simple dribble pitch do not work in this game.

Now spacing, or lack thereof is basically ruined by the slow passing animation and logic of CPU to get to the open spot How many times a game do your team mates roll diagonally TOWARDS a defender when the paint is wide open if he just rolls straight? How many times a game do you see a player coming off screen take an extra step before catching the ball just so he catches the ball right where the defender is)

Force Fields as you call it can be curbed by reducing the CPU strength and increasing user strength sliders. It works well too

try user 70 cpu 30

Sadly this guy is telling the truth, I love the graphics and some times it plays a really good game of basketball but for the most part it's complete BS. But 2K through popularity has tuned into something I hoped it wouldn't. They don't care about the hardcore who want a sim/realistic game, $ has changed them and it doesn't matter to them that we the ones who with them from day one and basically built their company through word of mouth and playing every years game are hurt by this years game and future games if this nonsense continues. It seems every post on here in e 2k forums turns into a rant or disappointment.

^^ Co-sign everything. Especially the red part.

Seems 2K developers have never heard ANY basketball coach ever tell his players:

- "Meet the Pass" or
- "Come to the Ball" or
- "Cut to the open spot on the court", or
- "Don't run AWAY from a pass" or
- "Get the ball FIRST.... THEN make a move."

Which is taught to EVERY player who ever joined an (organized) pee-wee basketball league.

Then reinforced EVERYDAY by every last (H.S. and College) coach on the planet who ever had 10-12 guys to call a 'basketball team', with REAL uniforms, a GYM to play in.... plus a HOOP.

Or maybe the concept of our CPU teammates actually 'meeting a pass' is (literally) impossible for them to code.

i.e. Perhaps it is just MUCH easier for them to write AI code that makes our CPU teammates run BEHIND every defender, instead of cutting IN FRONT of their defender whenever the [pass] button is pressed.

Honestly, I don't think they have.... 'figured out the mind-boggling math required'... to make that happen just yet.

But whenever they do 'get the logic right'... let's hope that 2K will advertise it as a 'brand new feature' right on the packaging of the box (in BOLD letters) of the next version they release.

They can call it 'ecoMotion' with 'Enginuity', or something. (not ingenuity)
(i.e implying they got a new AI engine, y'know?)

Or maybe they will build better teammate AI into the next version....
But charge ridiculous VC to actually USE IT. lol.

If so they will probably add a 'slider' somewhere that says...

Set Teammate AI: (Costs $300,000 VC to Unlock this Slider)
Play Smart <<<--------O-------->>> Meh, Do Whatever
