Asterisks (*) represent players whose presence in 2K is uncertain due to whether they're in the free agent pool (or through other means). 2K12 Showcase players could no longer be licensed, but they've been included in case they are. There is also uncertainty as to whether being featured as an assistant coach also means one can be included as a player (ex: Rasheed Wallace).

By all means, contribute your own rosters featuring players already included in 2K.

1984 Lakers
Magic Johnson
James Worthy
Byron Scott
Michael Cooper
Kurt Rambis
Jamal Wilkes (2K12 Showcase)
Bob McAdoo (2K12 Showcase)

1988 Mavericks
Mark Aguirre ('89 Pistons)
Rolando Blackman (2K12 Showcase)
Derek Harper ('95 Knicks)
Sam Perkins ('91 Lakers)
Detlef Schrempf ('96 Sonics)
Bill Wennington ('96 Bulls)

1994 Sonics
Shawn Kemp
Gary Payton
Sam Perkins
Ervin Johnson
Kendall Gill (’93 Hornets)
Vincent Askew
Nate McMillan
Detlef Schrempf

1994 Bulls
Scottie Pippen
Horace Grant
BJ Armstrong
Toni Kukoc
Bill Cartwright
Steve Kerr
Bill Wennington
Pete Myers (2K14 Assistant)
Luc Longley
Scott Williams
Stacey King
John Paxson
I forgot to tell you that Corie Blount ('98 Lakers) and Will Perdue ('93 Bulls)
is a part of that '94 Bulls team.

I didn't think they were horrible per se. A 50+ win squad who took the eventual NBA champions to six games in the Western Semi-Finals? Not too shabby. Also, they're sort of a sentimental selection, both as one of the last modern Sonics squads and as the team my little brother always rained treys with in 2K5 and 2K6 (Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Luke Ridnour).

I think a lot of folks would like a classic Pacers team but it seems pretty apparent that Reggie and 2K are at some sort of impasse.

Separately, the goal of this thread was to try to find some classic squads that would not require too many (if any) additional player licenses. There didn't seem to be a ton of Pacers teams that featured a solid portion of the roster already included in 2K. I guess the '04 club would be in the ballpark, but would still likely fall a bit short. With Panda's Friend signing in China, that'd probably be even one less.

2004 Pacers
Jermaine O'Neal
Ron Artest*
Al Harrington
Jamaal Tinsley
Scot Pollard ('02 Kings)
Kenny Anderson (2K12 Legends Showcase)
James Jones

The last three played 32 playoff minutes combined with Jones not even making the playoff roster, so it'd seem to be a pretty splintered squad. Maybe five players and no Reggie Miller is a tough get, though it'd be nice to have another opponent for a hypothetical '04 Pistons inclusion.
