Are fouls just broken?

I was going to do a long drawn out post about the fouls that was probably going to just sound like a bunch of crying, but instead I ask one question:

Why are the same animations called fouls on one end of the court and not the other? I understand NBA refs make mistakes but I really just don't get how you can have borderline flagrant fouls not being called.

Probably a* RNG running odds on fouls based on certain animation.

What really bothers me are the fouls called on the legal defense hands up.

YES! I've had sequences where I drive, get obviously hard fouled but no call, opponent runs down the court and forces into hands up D and they call the foul.

Sounds like the NBA lol but really things are a lot better sinces the patch. Before the patch I was seeing like 5 times a game where guy would get hacked and there would be no call now I am only seen that like once a game or ever few games.

guards going straight up against a 7'3 340 C are getting bailed out with a foul for their idiotic shot.

A lot of soft fouls get called but the hard ones aren't .Problem is these soft fouls cause a lot of and1s. Hard fouls you're thrown on the ground shot gets altered a lot but no call.

I would love to know what the boost is for All Pro 3. What's a hard-foul and are they really not called?

It's all very confusing.
