Can I Turn Help Defense to ZERO?

My teamates over help all the time and if I manually put the defender where i want him the human controlled ball handler scores because the computers defense is the same as an open shot for some reason.

Not hedging but a setting to tell defenders to NEVER LEAVE YOUR MAN AT THE ARC WIDE OPEN NO MATTER WHAT.

For this game specifically, I can see your point. However in future 2k games where the 3pt. shot isn't so OP, you would rather have help in the lane to stop the easy drive.

For this game, set your points of emphasis to "limit perimeter shots" and set your defenders to "deny" each 3pt shooter. Be prepared though, if someone recognizes this, they zig zag you to death to the rim or post fade all day.

Thanx man. Weird thing is i put deny on shooters instead of tight and had a little success at first. Then since i had the lead, all the little weird things that happen before the half to make it close (as usual) like limited control over my players, Korver bricked two consecutive open shots while Affalo was draining qith limited space almost every play.

Got side tracked a bit.

The weird thing was he tied the game up so I called timeout. These were my subs

Lebron for Bledsoe
Danny Green for Korver
Deng forGerald Green
George for Durant
Deandre for Vucevic.

All of a sudden he couldnt move hardly with out bumping into defenders and we received FOUR steals in 1:20. This lineup played lockdown defense together until mid 3rd where the other guy quit.

I thought deny would body up against the off ball player leaving the chance for a cut very probable.

I know your issue. Try doing individual defensive match ups. Set offball to tight on shooters and onball to tight as well. set screens to no hedge. Set your team POE to Conservative and Limit Perimeter shots. Those things will leave your paint wide open but your CPU won't help off of perimeter players.

To help protecting your paint you can have your Center gap off-ball from his man but a good point guard (even cpu) will begin to drive and dish to the open big for easy finishes.

Basically it's possible to have your defense stop helping off their man with defensive matchup POE adjustments.
