I like to use a scaling system:

First year: 0% played, use the stats as a slider base to compare.
Second year: 20% played, about 16 games
Third year: 40% played, about 33 games

Every year keep adding 20% until the fifth season in which you play every game. Use the same ratios for playoffs.

If you use GM mode, it forces you to really be smart. If also gets you to a point where you have your own team playing every game by that fifth season and beyond.

Quick question: has anyone found a workaround to actually backup MyGM saves? Or, is there a way to exit a game without having to simulate it to its completion? Sometimes I want to start over after adjusting sliders, etc. Would just closing the app work?

Hey has anyone encountered something where a team you're not controlling doesn't have enough players for summer league so it won't let you pass that game, if so how is it fixed since I don't know how to add players to a team I have no control of. This is in myleague

So i see most dudes in here like MyLeague more instead of MyGM. Why is that?

I'd say 60% from what I've seen. Unfortunately it still seems a little easy to trade for a first round pick from an average team, particularly early in the season. I took over Philly in MyGM and ended up with Simmons after a 20-62 season

Yea unfortunately he is also offered in trades right after too. In my nuggets myleague. The 76ers had the first pick and took Simmons. I had pick 4 and they offered Simmons for the 4th pick and my center (forgot his name buts it's there actual center). Didn't take the trade but I have seen him offered up as a trade way to often after being drafted
