Yea, I am pretty sure the animation turn overs are not fixable.
I love the turn the level down suggestion. I need to turn the level up but that would just increase the turnovers.
For the record the game is to easy even with the turn overs. My player averaged a triple double and this is the first season after the story mode season. Averaging six turn overs a game is too high. In the playoffs I am averaging a 20/20/20, points, rebounds, assists, but 8 turnovers a game.
The point of the post is about the ball physics due to collisions but the fact that the player animations don't take this into account. I would say turn off this feature and just depend on planned ball collisions. What I mean by planned is a steal attempt, or a tip based on the statistics engine rules. NBA players don't randomly dribble off of players body parts multiple times a game. James Harden can dribble in traffic without loosing the ball.
When I say stressful I mean being penalized for executing a good play, and taking a good open shot.
I also don't like that I am on the Knicks, a below average team, and managed the 4 seed. Then swept the first round and then went to Cleveland and took the first 3 games in blowouts. The fourth had comeback code running the whole game. So we lost. But we shot over 50 percent as a team, and Cleveland shot under 40 percent.
