In the video below, Sam Pham makes this play look so easy and when he does the hesi escapes and the moves, the defense backs off him and isn't "glued" to him. Whenever I try this, the defenders slide around and are on me like flies on poop.
I just don't get it. If you don't want to watch the whole video, start it at :43 and watch that play. The defender just doesn't play like that to me. All that space? It rarely happens.
