AI Defense Sometimes Getting Lost On Help Defense For No Reason

This is so frusrtaing to play MyCareer.. the AI defense is horrible , going inside the paint for no reason leaving guys wide open on the 3p peremiter.

Happens on defense and offense, and besides, i think this year teams really abandoned inside plays. im a paint protector and if i get 1 block in an entire game im happy, its 24/7 of shooting threes.

I'm in the same boat, almost non stop three's, due to...I don't even know how to describe the help defense...just stopped after a few games, so hard to play. I'd say I'm going to stop till there's a patch, but that could be till 2k19 so I don't know. Guess I'll just do things in real life...ick tho

Whats the team chemistry rating ? Im almost sure its the culprit because AI really not that bad in outside mc.

Mine I think is in the 70's and I know what you're saying that it could have and affect, but no team chemistry besides complete mutiny of authority should make a defender on his man sprint away from him like he has contagious cancer/monkey pox

Teammate AI intentionally dumbed down on non maxed team chemistry just like it was at 2k16 and 2k15.

but this is too much.. just going inside the paint for no reason? He was already guaring him and then decides to leave him open

Noticing this as well, just checked all box scores in my mymplayer career. Didnt matter which team, it was at least 30 3pt attempts with a lot games in the 40 attempts range.
