WEIGHT limit cap / body development progression idea

How do yall feel about this idea

When you create your players your weight should be extremely limited.

When you get drafted your still pretty much a baby coming out of college your body is still maturing. Most young players dont come into the NBA with a nba ready body and the same should apply for 2k

make us work for our body by training and developing it over time as we play mycareer and progress through the season

those who choose to go straight to park can still max their guy out but if they dont develop their body they should be more limited physically than those who actually take the time to work out

long story short i wouldnt say remove the strength rating but change how it works. you should not be able simply just upgrade your strength and be strong it should be something you go to the facility and train your body.

players can come out of college and be elite in plenty things shooting, dribbling, defense etc etc but body is a over time process you dont come into the nba with a mans body as youngster.. dont get me wrong some do but most dont

i know all this might seem weight considering my username but what do you guys think? should 2k focus on body development differences or keep the game as is and just upgrade your character right off the bat and be extremely strong out the gate?

i think it gives the game a more realistic/competitive approach without breaking the game.

It'd give the training facility more use but I really doubt 2k would do this. Also shouldn't there be a daily limit you can only workout for so long during a day until your body can't take it anymore to keep it realistic and so people can't abuse it.

Play like 1-2 NBA games so you can go train again.

2 major problems with this right off the bat.

1. The games life cycle is only 1 year, as a new one comes out every year. Let’s not make it take even longer to max out our players, since some of us want to have multiple characters

2. I don’t want my time wasted with needless filler nonsense that takes me away from actually playing basketball. Realism is awesome but the goal should never be to even simulate the boring parts as well, just to claim more realism. The only acceptable mini games (and that’s what you’re describing) are ones that either teach skills, or entertain by switching up the otherwise monotonous flow of the core game. More gym mini games would still be just as boring in the long run, and wouldn’t make me any better at the game.

Sorry dude when i play a video game, i want it to be a video game. No some real life crap involved into it. This is the problem with alot of games nowadays. They want you to have a virtual life into these games so ppl can spend hundreds of hours into it as if its their real life.

Agreed. But I generally like the idea of being able to adjust weight as the season/career flows, which would have a corresponding impact on attributes. If they wanted to make that an optional mini-game, i'd be all for it.

I really want to be able to gain weight. I want a 380 lb. Shaq build.

Do we honestly want to spend our time going into a virtual weight room instead of playing the actual game lol. Think this would get way too annoyingly repetitive.

Maybe for offline if people wanted, but online needs to be playing the game. The training facility and gym are wack I want no time in them. I want to just play Park and ProAM without having to touch offline or waiting on a stupid got next either. EA games do these modes way better which is sad. 2k16 had so much potential and has just gone in the wrong direction since then.
