Rookie Gear

I’m pretty sure it’s this way all of the rookies, but are they going to update any gear for the rookies this year? I’m a Kings fan, and watching Tyrese Haliburton with no gear and the giant Giannis shoes last year was annoying, but now having Davion Mitchell with the same issue, it’s tough to look at. The Giannis shoes look like clown shoes on every player, and the lack of updated gear makes me not want to play with them online.

Please, 2k, update the rookie gear this year.

Nah they aren’t terribly concerned about updating gear unless the player in question has a lot of star power. Come on over to the shoe vault discussion:

A lot of us use a similar solution. We download an updated custom roster, from the Home Screen settings, then manually edit player gear/shoes.

Unfortunately we’re still at the mercy of 2k/sneaker companies to add newer shoe models to the game (they irregularly come throughout the season individually, or in bulk, unannounced).

Plus the season hasn’t started yet. They really won’t know what they’ll be wearing. Once the season has started I don’t think it will be a very high priority. It never seems to have been due to fixing bugs, ratings, adding more mycareer moneymakers, etc
