I think it helps the resigner to recognize the game and the region. Most of the resigner works without the games.conf file, but that final step with the region part cant proceed unless the games.conf recognizes the game code.

Here's the games.conf file. Download the zip, and replace the file in the save resigner folder with the one from the zip.

The original one goes up to NBA 2K15. It says:

Thanks for the zip file. I know I resigned the roster using ps3 resigner perfectly but when I try to load the roster file isn't never shows up. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks!

Yea because I have NBA 2K17 and I was wondering if the roster could be switched to a different game

I also have the same problem after downloading the latest update uploaded by jeffx. I tried to save it in the ps3 unit and load it in the game but the error popped-up. Can you give/share to me the link of an updated saved file that will not have an error.
