Live ball should come back in 2k14.

Just played a full match of 2k13. Then a full match of 2k12.

Omg some of my main gripes with 2k13 came from not having live ball I didn't even realize it!

I urge everyone to play 2k12 real quick and pay attention to the ball movements compared to 2k13

I could not agree with you any more. I'm tired of the ball going through a defender's body. It was actually fairly realistic with the live ball in 2k12, as long as you didn't turbo everywhere and bounce it off someone's shoe.

If they can program user ai with some type of common sense so that they don't run straight in front of the ball handler while he's trying to push the ball up the floor on a break. Or make those little nuances affect the cpu as well as the user.

they probably toned the live ball down or got rid of it all together becasue so many people complained about it in 2k12.

That's one of the things I loved in 2k12. you as user had to have court awareness, or else you'd dribble the ball off your own team mate, which iMO was/is realistic.

Too many wacky and unrealistic things were happening in 2k12 with the live ball physics. Everyone was a shot blocker like mutombo and everyone could get steals like cp3. It was maddening.

Im not sure 2k knows how to implement it properly.

that is what made me mad about 2k12 only live ball affected me and not the cpu. whenever i tried to play the passing lane i'd be lucky if the ball didn't fly out of bounds when the pass wasn't even hard enough.

and then the ball would always bounce off someone if i made a bad pass but never the cpu and even if it did it would always bounce back to them

alot of people were used to so many canned automatic animations that they werent ready for live ball physics. I for one LOVED live ball because the ball acutally interacted with players on the court instead of countless canned offensive animations that just ended up with defenders hands going through the ball.

bottom line 2k gamers werent ready for the evolution of a live basketball so they complained when the ball hit bodyparts of offensive and defensive players like it would irl. , i still hope it returns for 2k14

I think overall everybody just want it to be implemented correctly and more realistic .
