Dunno if it's a coincidence but on the recent rivals challenge I got epic Vince carter on my 3000th point for rc.

Ended up winning double I-blocka so I ended up happy anyways.
The missus and daughter weren't though with the time I spent on the game.....

This is the best advice.
JJ Hickson rare pro is one of the highest defence players there is in rare. 277 rating.
I use 3 rare pro and 2 common un-trained. Works 90% of the time for me.

I dont think the 3 good cards and 2 common is that good.
Im at 15k wins, 2,5 losses, and ive noticed that the game calls for much more 'mental' and 'ball control' (point gard stats) then the others stats.
So I advise you to play with your 3 better pgs, your best offense player (usually a pf) and your best defense player (a center).
Forget about all around players. Jason kidd wins more games then the better rated doc rivers. So does larry sanders compared to jj hickson
With around 33k picks, i can say that im playing with the best pro rares and win 99% of regular games and 70-80% of rivals clash, playing with jason kidd, andre miller mid season, doc rivers (will change to avery johnson when i get the second one), thadeus young mid season and larry sanders.
Im pretty sure thats the best roster (and strategy) to play without paying anything

Agree that 5 rare pro works quite well. After all i finished 10th with a 5 rare pro lnie-up (tho different than yours). I don't have Sanders but i have all the other players you mention and i do use Kidd, Miller, A Johnson (tho i sometime take out Miller for Hayward and Demar). Also depending on your setup, its debatable which Young you want. The old one is 2 points lower with almost the same offense + higher offense + mental. You do lose some defense tho so depending on your other cards, he could be more useful.

Denkiteki, congratularions... I was pretty sure rhat anuone that high on rivals clash was using credits in e ery play to double his points! I played the last one what i thought was an incredible ammount of time (dont plan to do it again, really) and had about 10k points.
About the roster, im pretty confident that t young mid season is the best choice, because he only loses to the other on in mental and bc. But with 3 pgs on the roster, if you must rely on him to win on that stats, well, you probably already lost that one

I run with the 3 rare pro and 2 common lineup and I win 75 to 80% of the time my pros are (Doc Rivers, Avery Johnson and Thaddeus Young-Mid) and Lin and Rondo Rookie.
