What happens next year?

What happens next year will we be able to keep all our hard work in MyTeamMobile or does it all go to waste?

Wouldn't make sense financially for CD to allow players to keep their decks.

Neither would making every person start out new and having them lose the cards they paid for. Many players would quit over it.

It can go either way.

Re: What happens next year?

I believe MLB the Show is starting to carry over saves so you would expect that'll be the trend that other sport games will likely start following meaning there's a chance the cards get carried over in some way or form.

That said, if this is done and to remain profitable, you would expect the library size to also increase (as the number of cards needs to increase or there will be nothing to do for the big spenders... /100 is just too tiny given how many of them might already have all /100 filled with epics/legendary or even pro versions of those cards) but the result of that would be increased resource requirement and its questionable rather CD wants to spend the money for that resource.

A clean slate on the other hand would not require the additional resource per user but likely piss off some of the big spenders and they'll be less likely to spend (or spend as much) in future games. There will be new spenders but the question is will new spenders be more than or less than the number that got pissed and decided to stop spending/playing.

If NBA 2k15 decides to carry over saves, then its more likely the App will carry something over as well. If not, anything is possible.

I'd be way too angry, I think they would lose too many customers

First of all, I'm on your side. But in all honesty there's no way that CD or 2K is not going to wipe the slate clean again for a new game. Same thing goes for anyone who's spent money on the console game.

Even if the players are pissed and refuse to play, there's still going to be plenty of new guys coming through and the cycle starts all over again. Plus, I'd bet that even if some of the dedicated players and big money spenders are livid after losing all their progress, they will get over it and just carry on with the new game.

Cold hard truth man, at the end of the day it's just a revenue stream
