Season Mode Strategies

1) I'm not really sure how the AI works when it comes to picking cards. For season, should I favor balanced cards or specialists (players with one or two high attributes)?

2) Do abilities trigger in season games?

3) I don't think the 8/2 strategy works anymore. Do you guys have alternate strategies, or do you just use the best cards in your lineup?

I just saw it on here once. I don't know if it actually worked in previous games, since this is the first year I have played. You put eight really good cards in your lineup, and two ****ty cards. Thus, if the CPU picks the really good eight cards for your lineup (that's not the case though), you only have to refill energy eight times instead of ten.

Oh ok. I've played the 3/2 for quick games and played the 5 commons in seasons, which all work, but never heard of the 8/2 one.

One thing to do is pay attention to anyone that's unbeatable and make sure you don't end up on the same side as them in the playoffs.

There's one guy in my league now where if he fills up his energy there's simply nothing I'm going to be able to do to beat him. Everyone else, however, I can take out easily. Right now I'm in first, with 2 losses (both to him) and he's got 3 losses which I can only attribute to not refilling his guys. The second time I was going to play him I made sure I tanked my lineup, and energy just so I could lose. Why? Because with me being in first if he slips to 4/5 I have to make sure I can lose and get the 2/3 seed.

This strategy can work if there are multiple people like this if you're lucky and pay attention.

My two seasons before I couldn't be bothered with the one im in now I finished
5th seed and 4th seed and beat everyone till I reached the semi finals where the 1st and 2nd seed guys were there. I got swept and started a season the other day and went 0-7 to start so I was like to hell with this and now I'm like 19-43 lol
