Question Wonder what Kevin Durant is thinking?
I just asked him on Twitter, perhaps he'll explain, but I must imagine it would
be lousy to go from having himself on the cover of a major sports' title, props
from peers and all, to having the title squashed just prior to release.

From a PR POV, or even just an ego POV, that has to be a letdown.

I also asked if KD would be back on the cover of 12 (if there is one).

Did he?

I never make assumptions in business anymore. And asides from the money,
I think it has to sting at least from an ego perspective. It'd be interesting
to see where EA Sports' goes with their next cover guy.

It's a video game cover. KD isn't the type of dude that really cares if he's in the limelight or not. He's already got a cover anyway.

Heck, if he's a big time gamer, he's probably not going to mind 2k11 at all. Plus 2k always had Russell Westbrook in their studio so KD probably has had Westbrook in his ear the whole time.

Yeah he already got paid and he is already national known anyway. Not like he needed this game to become famous, he was already famous.
